WOMEN'S SOCIETY !????     FAQ

WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?
- Membership is open to all women, anywhere in the World. Society is based in Windsor, Berkshire, UK. This does not predetermine it's membership criteria.Connection between members does. As long as you are associated with one of the members this is all you need. Someone who will know who you are and tell the rest of us.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR WOMEN TO GET IN CONTACT FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES?

- Society wish to have multy-cultural members as different traditions, cultures and mentalities can give a lot to eachother. AWNS wish to give its members a chance to reap benefits of other cultures wisdom and experience, as just understanding their own might not be enough. Part from that, it is nice one can get recipes from "Steak Diana" to pouched  crocodile eyes if need so! :-)

WHAT DO I GET OUT OF THIS?

-This is purely down to members. You can ask any question you need an answer for, from social,medical, artistic, natural, craft, motherhood and anything it might be. Society will try to find an expert member to put you in contact with. Also, you can present yourself to other members, your skills, abilities, knowledge. You can have your articles published on Society's website and be part of any event you wish to instigate. You are free to send any material to the Society to be published for "members only" or for general public. Exposure will be largely up to a personal choice.

I AM A HOUSEWIFE. WHAT ASSET AM I TO THE SOCIETY?

Well, this really is very important. New mothers might want to know about how to deal with their children on day to day basis, and sometime professional can not replace good old common sense and experience of another woman.

The answer is yes we want you!

CAN I JUST HAVE A CHAT WITH SOMEONE IF I HAVE REALTIONSHIPS/OTHER SITUATION ?

Well yes, this is what this is all about. Menopouse? Pregnancy? Men trouble? Anything goes! 

I CAN SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE

This is great! AWNS will try to eventually have this website in as many languages as there are speaking members! We need your time, if you can spare some.

WHY DO I NEED TO BE REFERRED?

Because this is essential to the Society. We need to know who our members are and who do they know within the Society. Otherwise we would be just yet another website who offer women's network. This is not what this is all about. This is about the real life connections between friends and expansion of network within. This is not about the website or the Net, even we need it to communicate, this is about the connections.

WHY DO I NEED THE PASSWORD?

Passwords will be introduced  as soon as the system is put in place. I hope to install this by the beginning of October 2003.
